Dear
Tommy & John,
Five days has gone by so quickly with this VIP
event in Cambodia. And I must say it has been a
wonderful and fruitful experience and the business
relationship we have had. I have enjoyed so much there
and I appreciate having had the opportunity to work with
all of you. Thank you for all your support, co-operation
and encouragement that you have provided me during my
stay in Siem Reap.
Last but not least, I wish all of you good health,
happiness and great success!

Dear.
Mrs. Ta Thu Trang
Luxury
& Leisure Travel in Hanoi,
Thank
you so much for the most unexpected and beautiful
flowers brought to me by Anh. I am overwhelmed by the generosity
of your gift and will treasure the beautiful
shawl for many years to come.
I
would also like to thank you personally for the
excellent service your company has provided to us.
Corresponding and making arrangements with Tommy has
been such a pleasure - I really enjoyed planning the
holiday with his guidance and knowledge.
The
service here in Vietnam have been tip top so far, from
the moment we met Thai and our driver Phuc at the
airport. We have really enjoyed Thai's detailed explanations
and share in his provide of his country.
We have been in the hands of the most careful drivers in
excellent vehicles, both in Hanoi and in Sapa.
On
top of all that, thank you for giving us the upgrade to
the Royal Bhaya Royal Suite. For a short while, we lived
like Kings on this beautiful boat.
We
look forward to the next two weeks of our trip, in the
knowledge that Luxury and Leisure Travel have done
everything to make it so great.
Jeff
and I send thanks and greetings to you and all your
staff,
With
best wishes,
They
had sent us their comments after the trip
Can't
believe it is Monday morning and I am back at my desk!
We had the scariest return trip to South Africa - left
our Hotel in Bangkok at 8.30 pm for the quarter past
midnite flight with Thai Air. At midnite we were
sitting and waiting and did not board until about 1.10
am. Then we were in the air for 20 minutes and I
felt this KLUNK as the landing gear went up and heard
the hydraulics - this did not sound good and as we
were sitting directly above it, we felt there was
something wrong. Sure enough a minute later the
Captain came on air to say he is unable to stow the
landing gear, and we would have to return to Bangkok,
but first he would fly out over the sea to jettison
the fuel and that would take about 45 minutes.
It
took much longer as we flew very low and very slowly
in huge circles dumping the enormous amount of fuel we
had onboard, bearing in mind that this flight does a
two hour turn around in Johannesburg and does not take
on fuel there. The passengers were very quiet and
I guess, like me, most of us wrapped up in our prayers
for a safe landing. I mean, if the gear could
not be locked up, how sure were they it would lock
into place for landing? Anyhow, thanks to G'd we
landed safely and Thai Air looked after us amazingly -
there were busses waiting and we were taken to a very
nice hotel for a couple of hours sleep - if you could!
It was after 4.00 when we got to the room.
6.00am a wake up call, 7.00 am breakfast, 8.00am
settle small items on your bill and 8.30 busses
started taking us back to the airport. We left
on the dot of 10.30 as promised and were back on SA
soil by 5.45pm! Exactly 12 hours delay!
Well
that put the holiday in perspective - safe landings is
really what it is all about! And the biggest
surprise was HOW efficient and punctual Viet Nam
Airlines is. They really do inspire confidence
and each flight was excellent - maybe they should get
rid of those little lunch boxes for such short
flights!
Thai
became the standard by which we judged all the other
guides, and he really was a most wonderful kind person
to spend a week with. Nothing was too much
trouble for him - he really does go the extra mile,
whereas as one of the other guides did the barest
minimum and really seemed to stick to the words of the
itinerary - not wanting to do one thing more than it
said (Quong in Hue) - Thai could not do enough for us
and really he is a great guide, and a great guy.
Incidentally
when I filled in that form for Quong, he was sitting
next to me watching every word I wrote. To tell
you the truth, we found him a little irritating!
The
other two Vietnamese guides, Huynh Quoi Thong in
Nhatrang/Dalat and young Nguyen Thi Tam in Saigon
are both very good guides, although in Saigon we never
had nearly enough time to get to grip with that
fascinating city. Thong is really a most kind
and professional guide, with a wonderful manner and
charm.
Cambodia
we had THE most serious little guide and far too
little time to get into the mood of Angkor Wat -
one needs a third nite there, really. Sengy
was very knowledgeable about his subject but utterly
inflexible. He wasted our second afternoon on
the stupid lake trip that I said I do NOT want to do
and would have preferred, on a perfect afternoon, to
have watched the sun set from a vantage point over the
ruins of Angkor Wat.
As
far as the Jacket is concerned - please wear it in
good health, and promise me you will rather spend
the money on something extra for your new baby.
We
enjoyed our evening we spent with you very much indeed
and thank you for taking us to Cha ca La Vong and for
the charm of your company. We appreciate
the efficiency of our connections and the excellent
hotel accommodation arranged for us. In every
case, but the Dalat Sofitel our room was just perfect
if not way above our expectations. We arrived in
Dalat quite ill - we think from the change of water in
Nha Trang and the dreadful drive over a landslide
covered road - and were put in a very noisy back room.
I was too weak to make a fuss or complain, so we just
stayed there the two nites, but the Hotel is really an
eye-opener - very grand in the old style.
I
really need to contact Thai - please let
me have his email address.
I
am still going to do an analysis of our trip for
you, hopefully in a day or two, which will give you
an insight into our experiences, but really, we
cannot thank you and your company enough and as for
spoiling me so on my birthday - I did feel very
special so far away from home! Everyone we met
enroute just oohed and aahed over the wonderful
flowers and a South African lady we met a Hue
airport asked me if we had just gotten married - the
flowers were so impressive!
Hope
your wife is keeping well - what is her name,
please, and when exactly is your baby due?????
Thanks for the kind words of welcome back home, and
keep well.

Hilton Hotel is wonderful, cooperative hotel staffs on
the Executive Floor. Safe and experienced driver made
the 3 hours as comfortable as possible. Hoa is one of

the day a complete believable. Luxury & Leisure

Tour
guide was excellent, your driver was courteous, good
knowledge of roads and on time. Service was excellent
and responsive by Luxury & Leisure Travel in Vietnam
throughout from first email. One thing is we spent many
wasted hours waiting from the time we left boat until
flight to Hue. Perhaps we could have gone to Halong bay
first but I am not sure you could do it. Anh was also an
excellent and informative guide in Hue and Hoi An.

Good
morning Tommy,
Many thanks for your kind email and yes, indeed, we are
back in the land of sand and happy to unpack our
rucksacks and see the dogs again!
The tour programme, as booked through your company was
absolutely PERFECT. What I particularly
appreciated, in order of importance, was
1. your kindness and willingness to make changes
to our programme as we went along. ( Amended
train/flight bookings, amended hotel booking in Sapa due
to trekking changes). That really separates the
amateurs from the professionals and you did a fantastic
job in keeping us happy all the time. Most appreciated
was the dayroom you organized for us at the last minute
in Hanoi due to the Vietnam airlines flight delay - I
was very impressed and it made all the difference! Thank
you.
2. Time keeping by your guides & drivers
- they were always there before the appointed time, were
well prepared, extremely pleasant company,
had lots of good stories to tell, and of course were
great facilitators. Perfect! In
Particular I am thinking of Guide Njan in Sapa, Guide
Hai Hai in Hanoi - they stand out and please pass our
personal thanks to them.
3. It was very reassuring to know that we felt
that we could always contact you - not that we needed to
- whatever time of day.
4. We feel that we got value for money. The
tour programme was exactly what we had expected and we
certainly will promote your services to any of our
friends who will be traveling your way.
As regards the content of the sightseeing in
every city - superb. Places visited were
appropriate, the guides let us spend as long or as short
as we wished, no guides ever pushed us to buy items in
tourist shops - although we were offered the chance.
Boat trips worked perfectly. Border crossing into
Cambodia was efficient.
Hotel Accommodation: Superb
superior room at the Metropole on the way in - a
bit less nice on the way out as we had a dark standard
room and they were renovating the hotel at that stage -
but that didnt matter for only 1 night. Hanoi
Hotel Hoa Binh Palace was pleasant enough
with really nice staff. Sapa - well, the Sapa
Victoria was just the best. Food was great,
location superb, staff excellent, beautiful rooms, a
true delight! One complaint : Extortionate and
inefficient laundry service considering that labour
costs there should be absolutely minimal. I paid
USD70 for a few pieces of laundry and did not feel
that the washing was even cleaned properly. These
are European prices but certainly not with European
standards! You may wish to pass this comment on to
them. The Victoria Hotel Chau Doc - although it
is the best hotel there, seems a bit tired and dated,
especailly after having experienced the sleek and
efficient Sapa Victoria. The food was great but I
did complain to the Manager about the less than poor
massage my son and I endured. To his credit
however, the GM of the hotel could not have done more to
make things good. I think the staff called him in
outside of his duty time to deal with my complaint, he
was most apologetic, did not charge us for the massage
and all is well that ends well. As they say: a
complaint turned around makes for an even more loyal
customer next time round and if ever in Chau Doc we'd
happily go there again. The hotel Juliana Phnom
Penh (my choice of hotel) was
extremely poor. The lobby smelled dank and musty,
the food was over-priced and unappetizing, the rooms and
pool were OK but seriously, the poolman guarded his
towels with a ferocity that you would think they were
made of gold and throughout the whole hotel every
piece of furniture has little pieces of carpet stuck
underneath it to stop it from scratching the
already sad looking floor. Truly a disaster.
Please dissuade people from going there. We
subsequently looked at the rooms and also ate at a place
called the Foreign Correspondents Club or
FCC as it is affectionately known in Phnom Penh.
Rack rates there are USD 75 for a double per night and
it is PERFECT for European travellers. One
thing though : PP seems to be full of beggars who
wheel their disabled family members around on carts and
trolleys and they all seem to hang out either
outside the FCC or the hilltop mountain temple
in PP - sorry I forgot the name.
Cambodia : Very different
experience than Vietnam and a lot more challenging.
We preferred Vietnam in every way but that is just
a personal choice. The guide in Phnom Penh, Mr Ra
was very difficult to understand but he was a kindly
gentleman and he did try his best. I certainly
wish him well as he seems to have had a very hard
life. ( All we wanted was to be with Njan or Hai
Hai !!) The tour operator in PP was efficient,
perfect driver, on time, polite, well informed.
Complaints: Very few!
On the boat from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh the Victoria
Hotel provided a snack of fruit and two miniscule
biscuits. From what I could see no one touched the
unpeeled fruit - westerners generally wouldn't eat
grapes or apples unwashed or unpeeled for fear of
becoming ill. On such a long ( 6-7 hour) journey,
far better to perhaps offer a hot cup of tea/coffee and
a hearty sandwich or some real cake/biscuits. But
that is only a small suggestions.
Train journey from Sapa to Hanoi. The Hotel Victoria
had printed notices that advised that there would be a
restaurant car attached to the train on a Thursday
evening. We had a particular cause to celebrate
that evening and wanted to dine in style on board the
train. Only one problem! No restaurant car that
night. No one on the train seemed to have heard of
dining cars on that train anyway. Please
advise the Sapa Victoria of this.
Tommy, sorry this is such a long account.
Hopefully I am not boring you to death. Am
very happy for you to publish anything or everything I
said on the web.
Lastly, please once again thank your wonderful
team! Especially also the kind lady from your
office - sorry I forgot her name! - who twice had to get
up so very early to take us to and meet us from the
train! Thank you also to you.
Great Holiday! Many thanks and best regards,

Hi
Tommy,
The biggest of thank you to you. We had an amazing
holiday, Vietnam was a wonderful surprise, much more
than we expected, a beautiful country with
beautiful people. We had a terrific time. I have to say
we were a bit unsure as we had only dealt with you over
the Internet, so we were very pleased to see Hai when
arriving at Hanoi. Everything was so organized, we did
not have to think about a thing it had all been done for
us. All three of our guides were exceptional, all very
knowledgeable and extremely friendly and helpful, they
all went out of their way, and I am sure further than
their job required, to ensure our Vietnam experience was
safe, informative and fun. Special mention must be made
of Tam in Ho Chi Minh City, she was such a happy,
beautiful young lady I am sure we have made a friend for
life. Hie and Tam's English language is excellent. All
three had a great pride in their country and a wealth of
knowledge of Vietnams' history, a history that we did
not know about. Our accommodation and itinerary were
perfect.
After a long day travelling home to Sydney onto
Newcastle it is all sadly over. We will all be
recommending you and your company to others, as we could
not fault your service. Once again Thank You, I wish
you, your guides and company the best for the future.

We had a wonderful holiday and thought your schedule for us and the accommodation etc was superb and thank you sincerely. We have been discussing the holiday with friends and feel that we may organize a large group (say about 20 people) next year. Hi
Tommy and Luxury & Leisure Travel,
We arrived home yesterday after the MOST amazing trip.
What an experience!
Both Laura and I were so impressed with the way in which
everything was handled. At no point did we ever have to
worry because there was no one to greet us at our new
destination. Takes the stress out of travel, particularly
in a country where English is not widely spoken.
We found all your guides of exceptionally high standard and each
and every one of them went out of their way to make our trip
truly memorable. I cannot single any of them out because
in their own unique way, they made sure we had a fantastic
holiday.
I would definitely love to visit your country again and will not
hesitate to recommend your company to anyone else wishing to
travel to Vietnam or Cambodia. Thank you for making
our trip a memorable one. How lucky I spoke to Geraldine -
she was the one who encouraged me to book all my travels through

Hi
Tommy,
Sorry it has taken so long for us to respond to your email.
Since our return home we have had a constant stream of
interstate and overseas visitors. The last of them leave
tomorrow but I thought that I would drop you a quick line before
I retire for the evening.
Thank you for everything you did for us in Vietnam . We
all had the time of our lives and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
You have a beautiful country. We could not fault your tour
guides who were all very informative and friendly and had a
great knowledge of the area. We were particularly
impressed with how good their English skills were. Thank
you again for our beautiful presents, we are very much enjoying
the Vietnamese coffee – we actually brought some back for some
of our friends also.
We loved the balance between being very busy and having some
relaxation time. We particularly enjoyed the walk out to
the typical Vietnamese village in Ha long Bay , something that a
lot of tourists to the area do not experience. We also
loved the resort at the Golden Sand, a very beautiful place.
In fact our experience was quite diverse, each location having
something different to offer.
We will certainly recommend your company to any of our friends
contemplating a trip to Vietnam .
Thank you once again for a wonderful experience, we will
remember our trip to Vietnam for a long time and hope to come
back to your beautiful country again one day.
We cannot fault the service offered by Luxury Tours – it was
top class.
Thanks
again on behalf of all our traveling group,

guys and very good at what you are doing. Your
hotels are also very good and the boat excellent. Will
you please try to book the same three guides for our
children in December? Will you also try to book
them in at least the ANCIENT HOUSE HOTEL in Hoi An?
That was our absolute favourite! The other
hotels were also very fine and I wouldn't mind if they were
placed in the same Hotels. The
vehicles you booked for us were also superb and the drivers
must be of the best in the world ( please believe me if I say
we have travelled in

they really do you proud. Please

Dear
Tommy,
We
are back in Paris and I can tell you that we had a great time in
Vietnam
. All was perfect and I thank you very much for your good organization.
All your guides and drivers were perfect. My
family and I love your country and we have already spoken with
some of our friends to go back to Vietnam with them. So for sure
we will contact you for the next trip.
Just
a small detail concerning the hotel reservations. In most of the
hotels you did not inform about the fact that we have 3 children
so all was prepared for 4 and not for 5. In some hotels we had
to pay for the extra bed. In Sofitel Metropole I had to pay and
in La Residence and Pak Hyatt Saigon I have negotiated with
them.
It
is not important but for next time don’t forget the last
one…

To

cold. The tour was very interesting, our guide in
Hue
, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Anh
(I hope his name correct) was very good. A pleasant and very
knowledgeable man, he made the tour a success. I would be glad
if you give him my compliments.
We
hope next year to visit the northern half of your country and
we shall, of course, ask for your help.
Once more, thank you and thank you to your man in Hoi An
and
Hue
.

the best

Hello
Luxury & Leisure Travel,
The holiday was brilliant and exceeded our expectations.
Everything went to plan and the guides and drivers were very
helpful. We have already recommended your company to several
people. Not only did we stay in the best hotels but were given
the best rooms. Well done. Many thanks.

Dear
Mr Nguyen Tuan Anh (Tommy)
Yesterday
we arrived home in the UK,
following our holiday in Vietnam
that your company had arranged for us. This email is to thank
you and your colleagues for the excellent organisation of the
tour. From the moment we were met in Hanoi airport to the
final farewell in Saigon, the organisation; the transport; the
guides and the hotels all more than met our expectations.
We
had a most enjoyable and informative visit and the information
from the tour guides significantly contributed to our
enjoyment.
We
completed two evaluation forms, provided by our first and
third guide. Had we been given one for our time in Hue and Hoi
An, we would have been equally complimentary of the guide's
service.
I
am sure that Mike Moran will also be emailing you with other
comments but we wanted you to know as soon as possible about
our satisfaction and enjoyment of the service you provided.
Thank
you again for your excellent service from the first contact to
the last goodbye.
We
would certainly recommend your company and the quality of your
service to other future UK
Travellers and tourists.

Dear
Tommy,
Thank
you, too! We had a lovely time and were extremely
impressed with your service. I would be happy to be a
reference for you.
The
Hotels were lovely… I would say that the Metropole was the
best, then Le Residence (both) next best, then the Caravelle
then the
Victoria
….
We
really loved the Metropole the most… it’s lovely and the
location is great as well as the facilities and service.
And we really liked the restaurant "Wild Lotus" you
sent us to for our welcome dinner.
Some
of the highlights of the trip were
Halong
Bay
… it was so beautiful… and we really enjoyed the
flowers and champagne and cake… it was very memorable.
Going
to the markets was also great fun… the guides were
great… very knowledgeable, accommodating and their flexibility
was appreciated.
We
were thinking we would see some less developed parts of the
Mekong Delta. And the boat trip on
Tonle Sap
Lake
seemed like a trap just to get us onto a tourist barge.
One
thing that was a problem was leaving for
Cambodia
…
Vietnam
airlines was reluctant to let us on the plane because we did not
have the return tickets back to
Vietnam
. In the end it all worked out great but it was stressful
at the time, we thought we were going to have a major problem.
Also, some information that would be helpful in the
dossier you send out to people visiting
Cambodia
is that they require a passport that is valid for more than six
months from the entry date into
Cambodia
…
We
were very pleased on the whole. We thought the service
was impeccable and we will recommend you and your company.
Best
wishes to you and your family for a Happy New Year and a long
and prosperous life. I hope you have a lot of fun during
Tet!
Thank
you kindly,

Hi
Tommy and Luxury & Leisure Travel,
Just a quick letter of appreciation to say how much we enjoyed
visiting your country and how much we appreciated the warmth of
the hospitality we received. Your arrangements worked
perfectly and there were no problems of any sort. All
hotels were excellent and the visit to Halong Bay on the junk
was really memorable. The weather for our visit to Sapa
could have been kinder but I guess you couldn't arrange
everything for us!
A special mention needs to be given to the guides who were
excellent overall and went out of their way to make our visit so
memorable. We did not receive an evaluation form to
complete for the Hue/Hoi An part of our trip and so I would like
to say that the guide here was especially good. Overall we
had a wonderful time and so we would like to thank you for
everything you did to provide us with such an excellent
vacation.
All the best to you

Hello
Luxury & Leisure Travel,
What
a WONDERFUL HOLIDAY we had in Vietnam
. Although it is always nice to come home… we miss
your beautiful country and it’s people very much. THANK
YOU for making our holiday a memorable experience
– everything you organized was perfect! The
three Tour Guides we had did a great job, educational and
always very entertaining. The
bus, boat & air transport, hotels, tours, food venues
meet our expectations and more. If
we were to do the trip again….. I believe it was a
perfect balance with a variety of boat, historical and
religious tours, relaxation, cultural experience and of
course time for shopping!
Our
experience in Halong Bay on the Junk was breathtaking – the
view, service, meals, kayaking, cave & village tour
certainly impressed us all. We believe that Pilgrimage Village
Resort was a beautiful place to stay and once all of the
building is fully completed will be the perfect quiet resort.
We especially loved the Whale Island Resort Experience – the
children enjoyed ‘windsurfing’ and we all enjoyed the
opportunity to relax away from the hustle and bustle. The
Red Bridge Cooking School was great, not only did we learn how
to cook Vietnamese style, we also had plenty of fun doing it!!
The visit to the SOS orphanage and school was loved by all, for
us it was inspiring to see the work that SOS is doing for the
orphans – we felt blessed to have the opportunity to visit
these smiley happy children and hopefully we brought a small
amount of joy to them as well. (it was a very worthwhile part of
our journey in Vietnam
). Our journey to Mekong Delta was long, however very worthwhile
– visiting the delta villages and the floating market was
fascinating.
I
know there is even more to mention – however I’ll leave that
to some of the others who traveled as well…. I’m sure they
will be happy to give you their special highlights!
Tommy,
All of our team were more than happy with Luxury & Leisure
Travel
Many
Thanks for making our trip so easy, hassle free & relaxed

Dear
Nguyen,
Thank
you for your email, it was actually my clients that were booked through you
from our agency, but when I went on leave I had to leave it with Deborah to finalize
for me.
They
just got back and were very impressed with the guides and the hotel, their
only criticism was that the one guide gave too MUCH information to absorb :-)
But he said it was a fantastic honeymoon destination and they want to go back.
Vietnam
is my favorite country in the world, so I sell it with pride. I cannot wait to
return and thanks for being so professional, I was nervous to use you as I
found you online and have never booked with you, but now I will use you often.
